Go for the food, stay for a while for the vibe, and return for the food and vibe WHEN GRANT IS WORKING! Grant took excellent care of us proving perfect recommendations, stellar service and unique tips on visiting Chicago. Curated hip hop tunes really sets off the already chill and comfy space. The express lunch is a killer deal- wow! Under $20 for rich ramen, incredible rice dish, tasty hummus and crisps, and a fresh salad. Deal cannot be beat! Asahi on tap run through a hoshizaki blast chiller, served in a frozen mug?! Yes please! The value here is outstanding for a meal we will never forget.

The reviews on this ramen restaurant are insane and for good reason. Caught the lunch crowd so it was a bit of a wait to get a table but well worth it. Was seated at a booth where you can scan the QR code to see the menu where the specials of the day are listed or pick up the paper ones. The express lunch is truly the best deal. You choose a rice platter, your ramen, and each have a side salad along with edamame dip. Each were absolutely delicious. My partner got the famous 10 hour tonkatsu. Before our mains even came we enjoyed the karage nuggets and the tuna tartare that came with sesame crisps as chips. Both were fresh. For the finale we ordered the ube tiramisu, it was more icing than anything but still a cool try. The service here was excellent. Would come back!

We wanted to have hot spicy meal after a windy cold day roaming through the city of Chicago (even though it's summer now!) and we googled to find this place closeby. We had to wait for a bit to get a table but it wasn't really much. The vibe is real good. The food equally matches it. Simple clean menu.easy to make choices. We had their famous thai chicken wings... A full 10/10. Then we had tantan ramen (with rice noodles) since I am a vegetarian. My friends ordered chicken shiiu and sumo ramen. Both were good! Sumo ramen bowl was really XXL size that justifies it's name! I think it needed all 3 of us to finish it. Infact, None of us could finish our own bowl of ramen!!! We had a fantastic experience overall. We got what we came here for!

Staff and food were exceptional. Rosa our server was so sweet. She made our experience so easy and was super welcoming. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very lively but also cozy. Food was delicious. Definitely give this place a try if youβre in the area!

Being from Vancouver, Iβm admittedly a bit snooty about Japanese food and donβt know how other spots in Chicago compare. Overall, it was decent. The vibes were great, if I lived here Iβd come with friends to drink and have some food on the side. Everything was a bit fattier/greasier than Iβd prefer but good flavours and nothing was too salty. Probably perfect if youβre a bit tipsy and need something to soak up the alc. Service was really warm and laidback, and I like that you order/pay online. Super easy for groups with the split bill option too. It was busy and lots of communal seating. Standouts were the chicken karaage (really good crunch) and the Thank yuzu drink!! I HAAATE cilantro and it was actually sooooo tasty, might be the only application that I really enjoyed cilantro in.
